LONG TERM PLANNING
Hartnell College develops, approves, implements, evaluates and revises long term institutional plans, and ensures linkages and alignment with the college's umbrella Strategic Plan. Whereas the processes may differ in specific cases, long term plans are generally:
- Designed to improve institutional effectiveness
- Developed to meet external mandates and internal requirements
- Reviewed and approved through participatory governance and the Board of Trustees
- Implemented to meet qualitative outcomes and/or quantitative metrics
- Assessed annually to measure progress toward multi-year completion
- Updated as needed to reflect important modifications within their stated time span
