Start earning college credit while you're still in high school

Earning credit while in high school helps you start your pathway onto a college and/or your career. We offer both dual enrollment and concurrent enrollment options. Need help?  Please do not hesitate to contact the Office of College Readines — we are here to help.

 

CCAP vs. Non-CCAP

College Readiness Options

College & Career Access Pathways (CCAP)

Dual Enrollment courses that are decided by the high school district and Hartnell that allows high school students begin on a pathway to college/ career.

Location: High School Site
Time of Classes: During the high school day
Course Offerings: Determined in partnership with Hartnell and the High School District. Prerequisites & placement adherence.
Course Enrollment: Restricted enrollment to high school students in participating district
Enrollment Process: Guided support from Hartnell Office of College Readiness
Unit Maximum: 15 units, no more than 4 classes
Cost: $0 cost to students (Hartnell College & High School cost shared text-books)

Get Started with CCAP

Non-CCAP (Concurrent Enrollment)

Traditional Concurrent Enrollment allows high school students to enroll in college courses independently.

Location: Hartnell Campus
Time of Classes: Outside of the school day (afterschool, online, or in the summer)
Course Offerings: Selected independently by the student. (Any course available in the course schedule in which students are eligible.)
Course Enrollment: Unrestricted enrollment (open to general public regardless of current high school you are attending)
Enrollment Process: Self-guided process (Hartnell College Office of College Readiness support by request)
Unit Maximum: Fall/Spring - 11 units; summer 6 units
Costs: Student is responsible for student activity fees, textbooks, course materials, etc.
