Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to students who complete their application by March 2nd (2025-26 has been extended to April 2nd) of each year. The school will review your application and may request more information if it is necessary to complete your file. You will receive an award letter once the College has received your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal government.
2024-2025 Verification Document Deadline Policy:
In order to retain priority as part of an award package, the verification process must be completed by the end of the 2025 summer semester. Priority aid at Hartnell College includes, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) and Federal Work Study.
In order to retain federal aid (Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans) as part of the award package, the verification process must be completed by whichever is sooner:
- within 120 days of the student's last date of enrollment
- by July 24, 2025 for new verification forms or
- by July 31, 2025 for follow up verification forms
