SAWABONA! Hartnell's Umoja community is made up of educators and learners committed to the academic success, personal growth, self-actualization and agency of our students. As part of the community, Umoja students are provided with educational resources, support services, and highlighting African American and African Diasporic cultures. The Umoja Village is the center of our community on campus; our home.

With Umoja-supported courses, community events, college fairs and tours, regional and statewide conferences, as well as personal and professional development opportunities, Umoja students take their experience at Hartnell to the next level.
