How to Become a Tutor
- Must be a student and complete at least six units at Hartnell College the semester you will be working
- Have completed one semester at Hartnell with a GPA of at least 2.5 (3.0 or above is preferred)
- Earned a B or better in the courses you are interested in tutoring
- All tutors must completed tutor training before tutoring
Selected applicants will be invited to a screening interview and asked for a faculty recommendation if they are selected for employment.
Tutors start at $16.00 an hour. Job Descriptions are available at the bottom of this page.
Volunteers are also encouraged to apply for unpaid positions.
