Foreign Transcript Equivalency
All college credits and degrees must be supported and verified by official transcripts from colleges or universities that are accredited by regional or national accrediting agencies recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education as reliable authorities concerning the quality of education or training offered by the institution of higher education.
Consistent with section 53406 of title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, the transcripts of foreign degrees may be used to establish minimwn qualifications and movement on the salary schedule only if their equivalency is established by translation/evaluation by a member agency ofNACES, the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
