4 Students from Hartnell College

Welcome to the English for multilingual speakers Program

English for Multilingual Speakers: Choosing Credit or Noncredit

Hartnell College offers a series of English for Multilingual Speakers courses that lead up to college level English (1A or 1AX). These courses are mirrored, meaning they are in the same classroom, with the same instructor, they use the same course material and have the same educational experience. Students need to choose the appropriate level and decide whether to take the course as credit or noncredit. Students can choose the best option based on their personal, educational and/or career goal.

If you have any questions about the appropriate course (s) for you, please contact the Counseling Department at 831-755-6820 or visit: https://www.hartnell.edu/support/counseling/
